INTRODUCTION
The Interparliamentary Round Table devoted to the problems of the strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and the European Union was held on May 28–29, 2007 outside ñity of Perm, where Europe begins geographically.

SUMMARY OF THE ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION
Traditionally, the press is not admitted to the main discussions at the international forum in Perm. However, speakers and all other participants of the forum may have the text of their speech published (see the materials in the appendix to this brochure). The steering committee prepares a general account of the discussion without reference to concrete speakers.
